Where do I find my Yotpo API Key?🌟

Integrating Yotpo with Fomo allows you to display a live stream of customer satisfaction across your storefront, reinforcing your brand’s reputation exactly when browsing shoppers are making a decision.

⚠️ Prerequisite: Admin Verification

Before you pull your credentials, ensure you are logged into the primary Administrator account for your Yotpo interface. Team members with standard Staff permissions will be locked out of the security credentials screen.

🛠️ Step 1 — Locate Your Yotpo API Key

Depending on whether your platform has been migrated to Yotpo's updated user interface or is still running on the original layout, select the appropriate path below:

Option A: Modern Theme (The New Yotpo Experience)

1. Log in to your Yotpo Admin.

   
   

2. Click on your Avatar / Profile Icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen.

   
   

3. Select Store Settings from the dropdown menu.

   
   

   

   
   

4. From the left-hand navigation menu, select General Settings.

   
   

5. Scroll down toward the bottom of the section to find your credentials.

   
   

6. Copy the string of characters labeled API Key to your clipboard, and proceed to Step 2.

   
   

   

   
   

Option B: Legacy Theme (The Classic Yotpo Dashboard)

1. Log in to your classic Yotpo Account.

   
   

2. Navigate directly to your Settings tab.

   
   

   

   
   

3. Locate the API Key field.

   
   

4. Copy the API Key string to your clipboard.

   
   

   

   
   

   (Note: Make sure to copy the main API Key, not the secret key! Fomo only requires the public API key to establish a secure connection for this integration).

   
   

🔌 Step 2 — Activate the Connection inside Fomo

Now that your key is secured on your clipboard, let's complete the handshake to ensure total Conversion Continuity:

1. Log in to your Fomo dashboard.

   
   

2. Navigate to the Notifications tab in your sidebar.

   
   

3. Click + Add Notifications, then select All Notifications.

   
   

4. Type Yotpo into the search bar and click to open the integration panel.

   
   

   

   
   

5. Click Connect, paste your copied API key into the designated field, and click Continue.

   
   

   

   
   

Fomo will now establish a secure, automated data sync. The engine will pull your recent, high-quality reviews from Yotpo and queue them up to display as authentic social proof. Going forward, new product reviews will be imported every 30 minutes.

Once your Yotpo reviews are live, optimize their presentation to extract the highest engagement possible:

• Provide Reading Room: Product reviews contain more text than a standard purchase alert and take longer to digest. Go to Settings > Timing and  an extend your display window (8–10 seconds). This gives visitors time to read the validation without feeling rushed.

  
  

• Prevent Notification Fatigue: If you are running multiple integrations, use Flows to mix your review alerts with recent purchase notifications. This builds a balanced narrative, proving your store is active in sales volume and excels in customer satisfaction.

  
  

• Leverage Active Intent: Go to Settings > Advanced and set your initial display trigger to “When visitor starts scrolling.” This ensures your high-value Yotpo reviews are only spent on engaged visitors who are actively consuming your layout content.
