How to Stop or Pause Notifications in Fomo
If you're looking to stop notifications from showing on your site, it's important to understand the difference between turning off an integration and removing notifications. 🛑
🔌 Turning Off an Integration ≠Removing Notifications
Disabling an integration (like Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.) will stop new notifications from being created, but it won’t remove existing ones. Any previously generated events will continue to display on your site until they’re manually removed.
đź§ą How to Remove Existing Notifications
To fully stop notifications from showing, you’ll need to delete the events themselves:
Option 1: Remove Events Manually
- Go to your Events tab
- Locate the notification you want to remove
- Click the trash icon to remove it
Option 2: Bulk Remove by Template
- In the Events tab, use the Template filter to find all events tied to a specific template
- Click Select All
- Click Remove to delete all matching events at once
Option 3: Use a Template Action (Advanced)
You can create a Template Action that automatically removes all notifications tied to a template.

⏸️ Want to Pause Fomo Instead?
If your goal is to temporarily stop all notifications, don’t waste time disabling integrations.
Instead:
- Click the orange circle in the bottom-left corner of your Fomo dashboard
- Click Sites
- Toggle off Fomo for your site
This instantly pauses all notifications without deleting any data.
