Connected Google Analytics but no conversions showing in dashboard?

As of 1st of July 2024, GA3/UA will no longer be supported. Upgrade to GA4 to continue tracking attributions.

Make the Switch to GA4

Your Fomo dashboard is a hybrid display of statistics that we measure and aggregate with our internal technology, along with conversion data that we import from your Google Analytics account, if you choose to connect it.

Impressions, clicks, and engagements will always aggregate in your dashboard and display updated values regardless of whether you connect GA, since these metrics are measured and updated through our own technology.

The last two values in your dashboard, 'Attributions' and 'Value' come directly from Google Analytics.

If you have Shopify Order or BigCommerce notifications connected to Fomo then Attributions & Value are calculated with with data from the eCommerce platform.

Once you have Attributions & values from Shopify the Metrics tab will appear on the left hand side below Dashboard. Metrics will show additional details about the attribution.

The 'Value' value will increase each time one of your associated GA4 Key Events is completed. Key Events are equal to Goals in Universal Analytics.

You can use the Goals Migration Tool to import goals from UA to GA4.

If you've had Fomo running on your site with GA connected and have 0s displaying for both 'Attributions' and 'Value' it is worth checking out the configurations of your Events, as these values will not aggregate if your events are configured incorrectly.

You will most likely use the Purchase Key Event to capture sales conversion. To be considered a conversion from Fomo your buyer needs to have clicked on a Fomo notification before completing a purchase (or other action) on your site.

Events other than Purchases can be configured with a value that can be captured as an attribution. For example, you can assign a value of $25 to each new email list subscriber as those visitors are more likely to make a purchase in the future.

See this article for instructions on assigning value to Key Events: Create or Modify Key Events

To see all key events for your GA4 property click on Admin at the bottom left, select Events or Key Events from the Data Display menu.
